Prior to founding
Read Pen Inc., Tina Klein gathered public-key infrastructure (PKI) requirements for the Government of Canada PKI and managed
user documentation projects for Entrust Inc. from 1997 to 2002. Her pioneering
work at Nortel Networks from 1994 to 1997 in the area of structured
documentation and process automation of system documentation
led to the publication of two technical papers. In 1997, she
was elected to the ACM Sigdoc Board of Directors and served
one year as their treasurer.
In April 2005, Tina published her first paperback novel Cyberscribe, available from Amazon.com.
In 1995, she received an Award of Merit from the STC Eastern
Ontario chapter for document design work she had previously
completed in 1994 at webplan. She has successfully completed
one APICS certification exam towards the CPIM designation.
Other roles held by Tina in the fifteen years prior to founding
Read Pen include Courseware Developer, Test and Integration
Prime, Technical Trainer, and Applications Developer. She
earned both her B. Math and B.A. from the University of Waterloo.
